A Story of Walking Home
This is a story of walking home.
Sometimes we walk alone. Sometimes we walk with others.
But the real magic? Staying curious along the way — that’s what makes the journey the joy.
We all have a story to tell. Some speak it loudly. Others whisper it in quiet acts of resilience. In the end, we’re all doing the best we can with what we’ve got.
As a child, I told stories to my hospitalized brother. I made up entire worlds just to make him smile. My love of books stretched those worlds wider. Every business I’ve built since then came from imagining solutions for real-life needs. Every creative adventure led to another spark. One thing led to the next.
Every story I told my brother began the same way:
“And then…”
And then this happened.
Our lives are a series of “and then” moments. What we do with them — how we interpret them — that’s where joy or struggle finds its voice.
I choose joy. I choose curiosity. I choose to turn each Now Moment into a composition of fun, laughter, grit, and lots of Spunk.
Over the next 24 months, I’ll be exploring both North America and myself — blogging stories, composing musical adventures, and living freely on the road at 77.
